I just got back from watching the circus. The circus was essentially those sitting on the VIP seats.. LOL!!! Kidding aside, it was entertaining and fun, even for about an hour or more I completely or almost completely forgot all those stuff that was bugging me down. I was a bit surprised to see one affluent and influential Filipino-Chinese person sitting in the bleachers with the rest of the crowd and not on the VIPs section (there's a lot of people occupying those seats that don't even qualify to be called a Very Important Person). Hmm great business man, humble person and has a good heart from what I've heard from countless stories going around. I was even more surprised when he did gave an employee or an acquaintance two light swords for his kids. Yeah I know he has more than enough money to give the whole crowd swords but what he did was not necessary but definitely appreciated I know. It makes you wonder that for some people money isn't almost everything. I know he might not be perfect, as to no one really is but with what I saw tonight.... It made me realize that being powerful, successful and affluent does not necessarily makes you a know it all, insensitive, heartless and insufferable ass of a MAN.

I finally got the chance to eat at the newest resto in town, 360 revolving restaurant. We had a reservation at 6pm. Boy was i expecting much!! The complete rotation of the resto takes approximately 45mins, I timed it oke :). Only a part of the restaurant revolves, the part wherein the tables are set up. Choices of food is very limited especially to a non- beef and pork eater like me. Actually i do like chicken more compared to fish, so that was a problem. The menu only had one choice on chicken and sad to say it's fried!! It taste good the first few bites but after that it was way too much!! The chicken sat on a bed of mashed potatoes, I specifically said i want fries with it but then.... hayy disappointing. Though the potatoes are yummy its not what i wanted. Then the chicken was fried and SMOTHERED with lots of herbs.. It was sticking out like toothpicks. The vegy's on the side was way too little. 3 broccoli florets, 1/2 of a string bean and 4 sticks of carrots, and it has a cup of rice in addition to the hill of mashed potatoes. Oh and did i forgot to mention that it came in 45mins after i ordered it? The server we got was a little bit disoriented. I don't blame her though it's a busy nyt, but busy and new are not an excuse to recieve bad service ryt? She mistook the grilled sandwhich for a cheese burger and the oj i cancelled in place of an iced tea was not noted. Do i speak that unclearly?? I dunno :). Although my aunt said the salmon, sashmi and escargot she ordered did taste great! The view is good but the food is not exceptional :(. The waiting time was the worst.. they should have given you something to nibble on, (thinking of how Outback in Manila serves you a loaf of warm bread... yummy). Menu was whacked, the person who did it don't have an imagination...Sorry no intension of offending but the food don't have a very vivid description. Hope they could sort out the kinks after a while. :)

What is love?? We encounter such questions nung nasa elementary and hs days pa tayo. I always defined it as what St. John said... "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres." - 1 Cor. 13:4-7 (NIV). Now is love really patient? Yup it is, when the time comes and you feel that you're fed up, love cease to exist. Love is kind. Aristotle, in his Rhetoric Book-kindness or being kind is listed as one of the emotions, which is defined as being "helpful towards someone in need, not in return for anything, nor for the advantage of the helper himself, but for that of the person helped". Kaloka!! In short being in love makes you a martyr, makes you stupid and in turns makes you do stupid stuff without waiting for anything in return hahhaha... It does not envy.. naman!! Eh in love ka nga, You feel you've hit the jackpot and you're so damn proud of the person you're with..Now if you see another person with someone hotter and makes you wish you were him/her, nakoo ibang usapan na yan. Is'nt envy and jealousy are one and the same... so meaning, love's not jealous?? Show me someone na di nagselos and ill tell you di nila ganun kamahal yung partner nila. Love does not does not boast?? Love is not proud?? hmm contradicting ah... kung love mo ang partner mo, should'nt you be proud and mayabang and in turns makes you show him/her off??? If it pertaining to being proud and boastful to the person you're with, di nga love yun binabastos mo na eh... It is not self-seeking..in short it means di ka self-centered. Eh kung self-centered ka how can you love anybody else but yourself?? It is not easily angered, meaning you, di ka magagalitin... sabi di ka masyadong magagalitin not di ka magagalit kasi if you don't get mad di ka na tao no!! hehhe. Next it says na love keeps no record of wrong. Kahit na nagsinungaling, nadisappoint ka, niloko ka, or niloloko ka pa rin... kinakalimutan mo pag nagsorry na, in short pag inlove ka nagiging tanga ka nga diba?? Love does not rejoices in evil but delights in the truth. So it means masaya kayo pagdi cya nagloloko and he/she means it when he/she says he/she loves you, and magulo ang mundo kung kabaliktaran lahat ang ginagawa sayo. Last but not the least, love always protects, always trust, always hopes and always persevere. Mas malaki probability nito kung kasal na kayo, although not fool proof ha!! Mahirap kayang magpaannul no!! hahhaha. Don't take me seriously its just a twisted view of a person who's skeptic and is never been truly in love?! You decide

I was born and raised in the Philippines. I hailed from a family of mixed cultures, my father's half-chinese and my mom's a full bloodied Filipina. My grandfather's a Fujian native and my grandmother's part spanish. I studied in a prestigious chinese school in Manila and profoundly greatful to my parents and grandparents for it. After graduating I went on a very long vacation in Singapore and then later on went to Saipan. My first impression of saipan is that it's very small. About twice the size of Malabon, where i grew up. Growing up I felt i'm neither a filipino nor a chinese for I am a Filipino chinese.!! The distinction of which is that you get the best of both. I did'nt fully grasp how Filipino i am when I boarded that flight to Saipan. Even though the Philippines is not all great but it is what made me as i am now.
